A Breath of Fresh Air
This delicate watercolor painting captures a moment of airy, sun-drenched tranquility. A monarch butterfly, painted with warm amber and orange tones, suspended in flight over a gentle field of lavender. The lavender stalks,in soft washes of indigo and violet, blurring into a hazy green undergrowth that feels cool and fragrant. The background is a luminous, pale wash that suggests a bright, misty morning where the light is just beginning to dissolve the dew.
When in the presence of this painting, you can almost feel the whispering of the soft summer breeze against your skin, and smell the sweetness of the wafting lavender and warm sunshine. The gentle atmospheric quality of this piece emphasizes a sense of weightlessness and the simple, nostalgic quality of endless summer afternoons in the garden, alive with possibilities.
Bring the quiet rustle of the garden and that golden sense of possibility into your home all year long with A Breath of Fresh Air.
